Sadaqah Jariyah
Ongoing charity is one of the deeds whose reward can continue after a person's death. A Quran that is read again and again is a gift that keeps on giving.
Give someone the meanings of the Quran in Luganda, a language they understand, through Okuvvuunula Amakulu Ga Kulaane Eyeekitiibwa by Umar Juma Nsereko. Give on your own behalf, for a loved one, or for a parent or family member who has passed away, and let your Sadaqah Jariyah keep working long after today.
One Quran costs 40,000 UGX. Give it all yourself, or give 10,000 UGX and join three others to complete one. Either way, your gift is Sadaqah Jariyah, in shaa Allah.
Four people each give one share, and together you give one whole Quran. A good way to give when you want to start small, or to give with your family or friends.
Give a shareYou give one whole Quran by yourself, in your own name or for someone you love. Give as many as you wish.
Give a whole QuranEvery Quran can carry a name. Choose who you are giving for, and we'll take you straight to the right form.

When a person dies, his deeds come to an end except for three: ongoing charity, knowledge from which benefit is derived, or a righteous child who prays for him.
Prophet Muhammad ﷺ · Sahih Muslim 1631
Read the source · Sahih Muslim 1631A man told the Prophet ﷺ that his mother had died suddenly and he felt she would have given charity had she been able to speak. He asked, “Will she receive the reward if I give on her behalf?” The Prophet ﷺ replied, “Yes.”
Giving on behalf of a parent who has passed · Sahih al-Bukhari 1388 (narration summarised)
Read the source · Sahih al-Bukhari 1388Ongoing charity is one of the deeds whose reward can continue after a person's death. A Quran that is read again and again is a gift that keeps on giving.
Give a Quran in the name of a late father, mother, child, spouse or teacher, and make dua that Allah forgives them and raises their rank.
The Prophet ﷺ taught that whoever guides others to good earns a reward like that of the one who does it (Sahih Muslim 1893).
The Luganda translation lets readers engage with the meanings of the Quran in the language they speak every day.
Classifying a Quran donation as Sadaqah Jariyah applies the principles of ongoing charity and beneficial knowledge. It is not a separate wording of the cited hadiths. Rewards are with Allah alone, and for specific rulings please consult a trusted scholar.
Seek Allah's reward for yourself, or add a name to honour someone special, whether they are alive or have returned to Allah.
